I have been asking myself, "self, should your store have a sample line for people to order and see the quality of your work, would that be a good idea?" I have thought about it and I just can't give it away though. I would love to sell to small business that run a print and frame shop but I always get the same answer, give us samples. It's not that I am under confident that the work will sell I am just tired of giving it away. Artists are notorious for doing this, "could you make me something for this or that, I can't pay you but will you do it anyway?". In any other profession you are paid for the work you render, produce or the service you provide, no questions asked or guilt applied. I think that if frame and print shops want samples they should at least pay something, this is fair.
